A9 Technology ® is based on a range of highly refined soft resins, which use the lubricant purely as a carrier. They form a remnant film when the resin molecules are attached to the metal surfaces. This occurs once the temperature rises to 43°C in mechanisms, temperature increases either through a heat exchange, as in a motor, or through the loss of energy in a transmission system.
The highly resistant remnant film thus formed prevents all hard metal to metal friction. It lubricates permanently, even if the oil film is broken, caused by a transitory over-load notably at cold starts, particularly after lengthy non-use.
A9 Technology ® is not an additive. It does not change any of the design characteristics of the lubricant. The lubricant acts purely as the carrier for the active components, which are miscible, not soluble.
